At present we live in a highly competitive world and follows that students should acquire the skills needed to stand above other competitors. With this in mind,a Leadership Development Camp was organized to sharpen their skills. We had a panel of trainers, who were young people themselves, but had acquired requisite knowledge and experience having participated in several such programs. In addition, we had several guest speakers from Government Departments whose knowledge and experience in the relevant fields were of prime importance. The lectures include Leadership and Managemnt,Dangers of Drugs addiction,Procedures in First Aid,Positive Thinking and a cooking section conducted by a Chef.Words of guidance were also given by Buddhist priests.
The program was in the form of a residential camp on the 27th & 28th of September 2015 at the Delkanda premises. Seventy one students from upper classes from both Nugegoda and Delkanda Branches participated. They had to show their adherence to discipline, responsibility, and punctuality and in addition their skills in physical drill and culinary matters at the camp.
